This project was open to all PreK - 6th grade classrooms worldwide. The project dates were August 31 to September 30, 2009.

The CWACOM project offered teachers 3 activities to share with their students.

The first activity involved comparing and contrasting. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs has been made into a movie and has some similarities to the book, but also many differences. You and your class were predicting what these differences might be and then comparing them with the movie trailer.

The second activity involved charting temperatures and weather at your school for one week. Your classroom will chart your temperatures in Celsius.

The third activity involved writing a tall tale. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs is based on a tall tale told by the grandfather one day. Your class was invited to create their own tall tale involving YOUR OWN SCHOOL!!
